Why Has This Newborn Not Drunk Milk All Day?
Deep in the forest, a worried mother monkey held her tiny newborn close from sunrise until dusk. Usually, the little one eagerly nursed throughout the day, but today something seemed different. The baby appeared sleepy and weak, turning its head away each time the mother gently encouraged it to drink milk.
The mother stayed patient, grooming the newborn’s fur and cuddling it tightly to keep it warm and comfortable. She barely left its side, only stopping briefly to gather a few bites of fruit before returning. As the afternoon passed, the newborn slowly became more alert. It stretched its tiny arms, blinked at its mother, and finally reached toward her for comfort.
At last, the baby began to nurse. The mother relaxed, gently stroking its back while it drank. Nearby monkeys quietly carried on with their day, unaware of the anxious hours she had endured. By sunset, the newborn looked stronger, and the devoted mother’s watchful care had helped bring a peaceful ending to a difficult day.
