Little Lily loved helping others, especially Baby Alfie, who often cried when he felt lonely or scared. One sunny afternoon, Alfie began to cry loudly after waking up from a bad dream. Hearing his tears, Lily quickly ran to his side and gently hugged him to make him feel safe.
As Lily comforted Alfie, she accidentally slipped on a toy lying on the floor. She fell softly beside the baby and bumped her knee. Although she was not seriously hurt, Lily felt surprised and began to cry too. Seeing Lily upset, Baby Alfie suddenly stopped crying and reached out his tiny hand to her.
Their mother hurried into the room and helped Lily stand up. She cleaned Lily’s small scrape and praised her for being kind and caring. Alfie smiled at Lily, and she smiled back through her tears.
That day, Lily learned that helping others is wonderful, but being careful is important too. The two children spent the rest of the afternoon playing together happily, sharing laughter, hugs, and a special friendship.
