The forest was unusually quiet one morning. Near a large old tree, a mother monkey sat silently, holding her tiny baby close to her chest. The little monkey had become very weak, and despite his mother’s gentle care, he slowly passed away.
The mother refused to leave him. She hugged him tightly, as if hoping her warmth could bring him back. Other monkeys gathered nearby and stayed quietly beside her. There were no playful calls or swinging through the branches that day.
As the sun began to set, the forest seemed to share their sadness. The mother finally laid her baby beneath the shade of the tree where they had spent many happy moments together.
Though his life was short, the baby monkey was deeply loved. His gentle spirit will always remain in the hearts of those who cared for him.
